What is whiplash?
Whiplash refers to a range of neck injuries caused by a sudden, forceful movement, such as during a road traffic accident. It commonly results in strains and sprains to soft tissues, including muscles, ligaments, and discs in the neck. These injuries can cause pain, stiffness, and reduced mobility.
What are the symptoms?
Whiplash typically causes neck and upper back pain, stiffness, and headaches. Symptoms often appear after a delay following the injury. Other possible symptoms include difficulty swallowing, dizziness, and blurred vision. These symptoms can vary in intensity depending on the severity of the injury.
