Physiotherapy

Treatment is only part of the process.
Getting the plan right comes first.
Across our clinics, we focus on identifying what is driving your symptoms and what needs to change.
Not every problem needs the same approach.
A clear plan, with guidance on how to move forward.

What is physiotherapy?

Physiotherapy is about understanding why a problem has developed and what needs to change to improve it.
That goes beyond simply naming a diagnosis. It means looking at how you move, how you load your body, and how the problem behaves over time.
From there, recovery is guided through advice, rehabilitation, and treatment where appropriate.
The aim is not just to reduce symptoms, but to address the factors contributing to them.
Physiotherapy appointments are available across our clinics in Winchester, Alresford and Twyford.

Rehabilitation

Exercise is often a key part of recovery, but only when it is specific to the problem and applied at the right level.
Generic programmes rarely address what is driving symptoms, which is why progress can stall.
Our rehabilitation approach is based on load, movement, and progression. We focus not just on assigning exercises, but on knowing when and how to progress them.
You will have access to your programme online, with guidance updated as you progress.
The focus is on helping you build lasting improvements that carry over into day-to-day activity.

What to Expect

Your first session starts with a detailed assessment.
We look at your symptoms, your history, and how the problem is affecting you day to day.
From there, we explain what is likely going on, what needs to change, and how we are going to approach it.
Treatment may include hands-on therapy, rehabilitation, or other methods where appropriate, but always within a structured plan.
You will leave with a clear understanding of the next steps.

Return to Sport and Higher Level Activity

Returning to sport or higher level activity requires more than simply reducing symptoms.
It involves rebuilding strength, confidence, and tolerance to the demands of your activity.
This is where understanding load, progression, and sport-specific demands becomes important.
Where appropriate, rehabilitation can progress into more demanding environments with support from on site strength and conditioning expertise.
The aim is not just to get you pain-free, but ready for what you are returning to.
