Do I Need Treatment?

Not every injury needs treatment, but if something isn’t improving, keeps coming back, or limits what you can do, it is worth getting it looked at.

Many people we see are unsure whether they need physiotherapy at all. In some cases, simple advice and reassurance is enough. In others, a more structured approach is needed to move things forward.

Our role is to assess what is going on, identify what is driving your symptoms, and help you decide what to do next.

If treatment is needed, we will guide you through it. If it is not, we will tell you that too.

If you are unsure, getting clarity early can often prevent issues from becoming more persistent.
Sometimes getting to the clinic is not possible, particularly if pain or mobility is limiting your ability to travel.

We do offer home visits where appropriate. If you need this service, get in touch so we can discuss the options.
During your assessment and treatment, your therapist may need to look at areas around your problem, so it helps to wear something comfortable that allows easy movement.

A t-shirt or vest and shorts is usually ideal.
This depends on what is going on and how your symptoms respond to treatment.

We will give you a clear plan from the outset, including the likely number of sessions and how your progress will be reviewed.

There is no obligation to continue treatment, and you can stop at any point.
We ask for at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or rearrange your appointment.

This allows us to offer the time to someone else. Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours notice are charged in full.
