Our approach

Most running injuries are caused not simply by how you look when you run, but by how your body manages repeated load.
We assess strength, control, and load tolerance alongside your running pattern to identify the key factors contributing to injury or limiting performance.
The focus is not just on describing how you run, but on understanding why symptoms develop and what needs to change.

What we assess

Assessments may include:
Running gait analysis forms part of the assessment, but it is not used in isolation.
Footwear can also be discussed where relevant. We do not prescribe orthoses, but will refer where appropriate.

Running gait analysis

Running gait analysis forms part of your assessment, but it is not used in isolation.
Using video analysis, we look at how you move while running, including factors such as stride pattern, loading, and control.
However, gait analysis on its own rarely explains why injuries occur. For that reason, it is always combined with strength and load testing, allowing us to understand how your body manages the demands of running.
This provides a more complete picture than gait analysis alone, and allows for clearer, more practical recommendations.

A more considered approach

Gait analysis alone rarely explains why injuries occur.
