What is online consultation?
Should you choose an online appointment, here are a few key points to be aware of:
- We use Telehealth for online consultations, which is a safe and secure platform through our booking system, Cliniko. You will receive an email invitation with a link to join your meeting with your chosen physiotherapist. Once you join the video call, you’ll be in a private virtual room. This is where you’ll have the video consultation with your physiotherapist. If it’s your first time joining a video call, you will be prompted to allow your browser access to your camera and microphone. This is required in order for video and audio to work for your telehealth consultation.
- Any information obtained in this consultation will only be passed on with your prior consent.
- It would be helpful to your therapist if you could briefly indicate the problem you are having in the notes section of your booking. This will allow us to best prepare for your consultation and also allocate you to the most appropriate member of our team.
- You may be required to expose the area of concern and areas above and below also. Please wear appropriate clothing and be prepared to undress if necessary. Please ensure privacy if necessary.
- You may want to consider the space you have available around your laptop/desktop, as we will be going through various tests and possible exercise demonstrations.
