What is Pilates?

Pilates is a form of exercise that focuses on controlled movements to strengthen and mobilise the entire body, with a particular emphasis on core stability. It helps improve balance, posture, flexibility, and body awareness, while also contributing to pain and stress relief. At Winchester Physiotherapy & Wellness, Emily, a physiotherapist and certified APPI Pilates instructor, offers classes that incorporate rehabilitation and injury prevention techniques, making them ideal for both general fitness and recovery.
